BCOL 4646, BCOL 4651 head East towards Smith, AB with the daily McLennan-Edmonton freight. What's neat is that the day before, I was working in McLennan and helped couple these 2 locomotives together! From what I know, these 2 would stay together rom Edmonton through the states, and head into Ontario 4 days later together on Q148! They then would be split up onto the same train (M372 from Toronto to Montreal, with 1 of them being the leader, and 1 being a DPU)... pretty neat being the conductor who made this lashup for many other railfans out east aswell!

CN 527 slows down for a 10MPH slow half a mile up the tracks at Nampa, Alberta. Today this train wasn't too long, only 8500'.

CN 506 makes it's way up the 2.2% grade towards Roma Junction terminal with a very long train today. The setting July sun at 9pm made this shot possible.

CN 519 hustles along at 50MPH Long Hood Forward out of Edmonton with some make-shift ditchlights on the rear (head) of the SD40.

The bright reds of a Northbound train add to the fall colours on the side of the Peace River hill, as this 6500' train winds down the 2.8% grade enroute to trade off with the southbound train standing by another mile up the tracks.
